I am a clinical psychologist with an office in Encinitas, CA. I work with children, adolescents, and adults in psychotherapy and psychological assessment.

My style of therapy is integrative and based on the belief that genuine change takes place within safe and connected relationships. The technical name for this is psychodynamic psychotherapy. It is a robust, evidence-based treatment that is designed to help you live free in the present moment without ruptures of pain creeping in from your past. What it looks like in real life is providing people the right amount of support, insight, and direction necessary to help them grow emotionally and relationally.

The biggest project I have taken on professionally is to start and grow a group practice of clinical psychologists. We have offices in Encinitas and Carlsbad, and there are 11 doctorally trained psychologists. It is both my clinical home where I see all of my patients and the primary place where I am continuing to learn and grow as a psychologist in community.

I am deeply grateful to the learn more every day from the patients who allow me work be their therapist. Working in group practice with other psychologists also continues to form how I understand people and enliven my hope for change in the midst of suffering.

I am especially excited about advanced ongoing training our team is doing in psychoanalytic personality assessment using psychological testing. Having shared language in personality styles and organization as a team provides us specific and descriptive concepts to best describe the minds of the people we help.
